Shipping and Receiving Technician
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Technician. This position requires someone with high energy, attention to detail and effective communication skills. This is a full-time position with no prior experience necessary, as we will train you. We just need to find the right person!
On-the-job training
Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour*
Paid time off (PTO) & Paid Holidays
*All training must be completed. You will work a 40-hour week until fully trained.

Days and Hours
Hours during our work/life balance testing are Monday through Thursday, 6 am until 3:20 pm and occasional Friday’s, 6 am until 10 am, as needed. This is working 36 hours with 40 hours pay*.

High Overview of Position Responsibilities:
Handling incoming and outgoing packages in a warehouse via Rieker’s quality control system Tracking inventory
Keeping accurate records, comparing receipts to packing slip and purchase order to ensure compliance
Ensuring we receive required documentation, scanning, and electronically filing of Packing slips and other documents
Packaging and weighing items, printing shipping labels and postage Inspecting goods received for damage and taking corrective measures, may include testing or dimensional inspection.
Distributing products/materials to other departments
Communicating with vendors, stockroom, planner, and customer service, and other staff
Ensuring daily freight pickups and deliveries are completed and those that are not shipped get communicated
Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling
Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems
Assisting with loading and unloading of Less-than-truckload (LTL) freight

Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of computer applications, basic mathematics, and computer skills (spreadsheets/database software)
Detail-oriented and multitasking skills
Basic Diploma or GED equivalent Experience working standing/sitting for long periods
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis, occasionally may have to lift up to 50lbs
