Glass House Technician/Fabricator

We are looking for motivated individuals to work in our glass fabrication department (Glass House). This is a technical position for someone with attention to detail, and effective communication skills. This is a full-time position with no prior experience required, as we will train you in this unique skill.

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour*

Paid-time-off (PTO) & Paid Holidays

*All training must be completed. You will work a 40-hour week until fully trained.

Days and Hours

Hours during our work/life balance testing are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am until 4:50 pm and occasional Friday’s, 7:30 am until 11:30 am, as needed. This is working 36 hours with 40 hours pay*.

High Overview of Position Responsibilities:

Fabrication of precise glass tubes by working with a torch, and at times, working at a lathe

Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints

Ability to fabricate various sizes and thicknesses of glass tubes

Monitor the annealing, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.

Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.

Ability to follow directions and work via our Quality System and Procedures

Skills and Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Detail-oriented and multitasking skills

Basic Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience working standing/sitting for long periods

Artistic person or someone that does crafts is usually a good fit
